This is my first post, so let's get this out of the way. I'm sorry! Bear with us while we work out the kinks! The only thing I know for certain about creating a blog/website is that it will evolve over time. Now that we got that out of the way, welcome to Picks4Guys! Let's get to reviewing men's everyday clothing and gear.
As I sat thinking about what products to review, I wanted to pick a product that every guy should own. In this day of casual working attire, the causal button down shirt is king. To me a casual button down is described as a shirt that you can wear to work, to dinner, or even out to run a quick errand. This shirt should be comfortable and durable. This shirt is versatile and can be styled many different ways. Dress it up or dress it down, the shirt fits the look. When I think of a casual button down, I think of a light blue oxford. It is just a classic look.

Bonobos Stretch Oxford Shirt - Retail Price $88 - This is a solid shirt. I like the color and texture of the shirt. The materials feel durable, but a bit stiff. The "stretch" is minimal at best. If you know Bonobos, you know that you have a lot of options when it comes to customizing the fit. This is good and bad, great options, but if you are buying online, it might take a couple tries to find your fit. Overall, this is a good shirt at a pretty decent price. If there is an x-factor here it is the presence of brick and mortar shops. This makes trying sizes and returns very easy. Overall Score - 3.60 (out of 4.00) Buy HERE
Faherty Stretch Oxford Shirt - Retail Price $128 - This is by far the most comfortable shirt of the group, it's really not even close. However, you are definitely paying a premium for this shirt. The fit is good and the shirt has a good stretch to the material. This shirt leans more casual and has a hint of linen to it. This is a very versatile shirt, but might be a bit too casual for some offices. Overall, this is a great shirt and I look forward to wearing this shirt often. The materials and craftmanship in the shirt are great. This is my "new kid" because it is the first Faherty product I have purchased. I look forward to trying additional products. Faherty boasts a commitment to communities and environments. I need to do more research, but I like what I have read about the brand. Overall Score - 3.50 Buy HERE
Taylor Stitch - The Jack in Blue Everyday Oxford - Retail Price $98 - Another solid oxford. Great texture and good color. This shirt is thick! The materials are very good, but this is a heavy oxford. This will likely help with durability, but this is not a summer shirt. In summer, I would sweat through this shirt in 5 minutes. Taylor Stitch focuses on providing great products with minimal environmental impact. I can get behind that! This oxford shirt is organic cotton and does not use any insecticides. I like what the brand stands for. This shirt fit me well in the shoulders and chest, but was a bit tight in the waist area. The bottom button is also a different color. This draws some attention to the bottom of the shirt. I am 6'1" and 190 lbs. with a slightly athletic build. I ordered a medium, but will need to exchange for a large. Overall Score - 3.45 Buy HERE
Goodthreads Men's Slim-Fit Stretch Oxford Shirt - This is our discount item and boy is it a great price at $30. Goodthreads is an Amazon brand that provides basic men's and women's apparel at a great price. This is a good shirt for the price. This shirt does not have the texture of the other shirts, but is still a good option for the price. The shirt is a little stiff and is likely significantly less durable than the other options. But what this product lacks in materials, it makes up in price and shipping time. I ordered this item on a Friday afternoon and it was at my door less than 24 hours later. Overall, this is a good discount option, but it isn't as versatile as the other options. Overall Score - 3.20 Buy HERE
*NOTE - I own other Goodthreads shirts and would recommend buying the non-stretch options. This option sports a softer material without sacrificing the fit.
Winner - Bonobos Stretch Oxford. The Bonobos shirt was the most versatile out of the bunch. This shirt has the flexibility to be dressed up or dressed down. And at $88 it won't break the bank.
